At the Section NE-4B Conclave the Web-tech committee got a chance to talk to not one but two national officers. We got to talk to the Northeast Region Chief Eric Bush and the Southern Region Chief David Joyner.
First I got to the Southern Region Chief David Joyner. He is from Mt. Olive, North Carolina and Nayawin Rar Lodge 296. He going to attend University of NC @ Chapel Hill. On his way to Conclave he flew from Raleigh to Pittsburgh. There he met Eric and Mark Steiner, 2011 NE-4B Section Chief (and a fellow Thunderbird!). They gave him a tour of the city and out to eat at Pittsburgh’s famous Primanti Bros. Once he got to Conclave he saw many competitions, inflatables, and field activities. Eric beat David in inflatable jousting 2:1:1. His favorite part of the weekend was meeting new Arrowmen and the VIA luncheon.
In the afternoon another Web-Tech committee member got to talk to Wagion’s own Eric Bush. Eric says he likes Conclave because of the fun atmosphere and everyone is just happy and the fact you can interact with people from other lodges that you wouldn’t normally interact with. He keeps coming back to Conclaves because it is fun, you get to hang out with people, there is good food, and the competition of seeing what lodge can be the loudest.
Want to experience the same awesome things that Eric and David did? You’ll get the chance to next year right at Camp Conestoga because Wagion will be hosting the 2013 Section NE-4B Conclave! Keep checking back at Wagion.org for more on Conclave 2013!
